I was very skeptical about multifamily investing. I was very skeptical about alternative assets. Because as clinicians we are taught medicine and we know medicine really well but we don’t know anything else. We just hand our money to financial advisors, invest in a 401k, stocks, and call it a day. So this whole thing was all really new to me. But I was interested. The beauty of XSITE Capital is they held my hand at every step of the way. I asked questions, I called, I emailed, I texted. I said, “Tell me everything.” They taught me an abundance mindset. There is beauty in partnership. It’s not about competition, it’s about collaboration. We can do more together. They taught me how to underwrite large multifamily apartments. But the most important thing I learned was mentorship. They helped me build my foundation. Who I am today, is a testament to what they (XSITE Capital) have taught me.
